Do you have room in your heart and home for a sheltie in need?

Do you have a little extra time to dedicate to helping a sheltie in rescue learn to overcome their issues and how to be a companion to a wonderful forever family?   Then try fostering.

Heartland always needs more foster homes.  More foster homes means we can serve more shelties in need.

Heartland provides the medical care, monthly heartworm preventative and support.  Foster homes provide a premium kibble, lots of TLC and teach basic house, play and leash manners.   As a foster home you'll help us evaluate the sheltie in your care.  Their likes and dislikes.  Their strengths, areas that need improvement and what motivates them.  Would they do best in a home with other dogs to guide them?  As an only pet in the home?  In a quiet home with a retired couple?  With an active family?  In a performance home with folks who do dog sports?

And you'll get to help identify the perfect forever family for the sheltie in your care with phone interviews of approved adopters and  scheduling meet and greets with those approved adopters and the sheltie in your care to see if they are a good match.  Think you're ready to give it a shot?    Let us know.  The Heartland family always has room for more members.
