Heartland Sheltie Rescue wants to
ensure each sheltie finds the best home possible! In doing so, we
require an application to adopt, a home visit to discuss with
prospective adopters the 'paws'abilities a rescued sheltie offers, and
we check vet and personal references.
Shelties placed in adoptive
forever homes still receive follow up from Heartland Sheltie Rescue
volunteers to ensure if a problem appears, a solution can be
identified. You're family once you've adopted one of our shelties!
We're here for you for the life of the sheltie!
Our adoption contract stipulates
that if you can no longer care for your sheltie adopted from Heartland
Sheltie Rescue, you must return the sheltie to us. You may not re-home
the sheltie yourself or transfer ownership to a friend or family member
or leave it an animal shelter.
